The Incredibles
American computer-animated superhero movie The Incredibles was released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2004. It was created by Pixar Animation Studios. Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Spencer Fox, Jason Lee, Samuel L. Jackson, and Elizabeth Pea provide the voices for this Brad Bird-written and -directed film. The movie Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl follow Bob and Helen Parr, a couple of superheroes known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, as they try to live a quiet suburban life with their three children while adhering to a government decree that requires them to conceal their superpowers. The entire family is involved in a battle with a vengeful fan-turned-enemy due to Bob's desire to help others.
The movie was created by Bird, the first non-Pixar director, as a continuation of the espionage movies and comic books he and his family saw as children in the 1960s. After Warner Bros.' box office failure with his debut film, The Iron Giant (1999), he proposed the project to Pixar and retained a large portion of its personnel to create The Incredibles. The animation team was charged with animating a cast that was entirely made up of human beings, which necessitated developing new technology to animate realistic skin and hair, clothing, and precise human anatomy. The orchestral score for the picture was created by Michael Giacchino.
