Wreck It Ralph
A 2012 American computer-animated comedy film called Wreck-It Ralph was made by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The 52nd Disney animated feature film was produced by Clark Spencer and directed by Rich Moore (in his feature directorial debut), with a plot by Moore, Johnston, and Jim Reardon and a screenplay by Phil Johnston and Jennifer Lee. The movie's executive producer was none other than John Lasseter. The movie, which features the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch, tells the tale of the title character from an arcade game who rebels against his job as the bad guy and longs to be a hero.
On October 29, 2012, Wreck-It Ralph had its Los Angeles El Capitan Theatre premiere. On November 2, it was released to theaters nationwide. With a $165 million budget and $471 million in the worldwide box office, the movie was a critical and financial hit. It won the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature and was nominated for the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but lost out to Brave in both categories. Ralph Breaks the Internet, the follow-up, was made available on November 21, 2018.
