Mutrah Corniche
Muttrah Corniche, sandwiched between the Gulf of Oman and balconied villas, was Oman's main port in the country's ancient maritime spice trade. Mutrah runs along a lovely corniche of latticed houses and mosques; at dusk, when the light casts shadows across the serrated crescent of mountains, it looks stunning, while footpaths, lighting, and fountains encourage an evening stroll or bike ride. The Corniche, which stretches over three kilometers, is one of the most attractive and quiet places to visit in Muscat.
At Mutrah Corniche, visitors may witness the dhow arrive at the beaches as the red twilight engulf the bay. The waterfront is surrounded with cafés and restaurants where you may savor delectable food while admiring the tranquil view of the sea. This Oman harbor has watchtowers, a fish market, and a dhow Harbor, and one border of the corniche is lined with different rocks.
You may participate in activities like as boat cruises or organize a family supper while visiting the corniche. Experience it on private or group trips that include round-trip transportation as well as highlights such as the Grand Mosque. Other ways to visit are on Muscat hop-on hop-off buses or multi-day trips that cover Oman’s wider highlights. Sunset dhow cruises that showcase Muttrah at sundown, when the setting sun bathes the corniche in gold, is another activity.
