Papingo Rockpools & Waterfalls
Papingo Rockpools & Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Greece. Despite being very modest, the collection of rock pools and waterfalls is truly magnificent. The rock formations are breathtaking; because of their layer of rock, which resembles someone stacking them together, they almost resemble rice terraces!
Be extremely cautious if you wish to swim in or dive into one of the rock pools because the rocks can be a little slippery. The ideal time to go is during the summer because the water can be quite frigid. However, these pools occasionally see overcrowding (especially on weekends), and the water may slightly dry out during this time.
There aren't any well-worn routes here, so it normally takes an hour of hiking to get upstream, and you might have to jump from rock to rock. In some of the ponds, you might even witness hundreds of tadpoles and frogs! The trees offer lovely shade and a breeze, making it a fantastic place to have a picnic as well. It is a peaceful area that residents adore but is less well-known to tourists.
