Prevent gallstones
Gallstones are one of the gastrointestinal tract illnesses that develop when there are cholesterol stones, bile pigment stones, or mixed stones in the gallbladder and the liver's common bile duct system. If the patient is left untreated can cause cholangitis, cholecystitis, etc. It can possibly result in death if it is not treated swiftly and effectively.
Regular nut consumption can lower the chance of gallstone formation. Gallstones are dense deposits of minerals and cholesterol in the gallbladder. Because cashews may decrease cholesterol, they can also aid in preventing gallstone development. However, the same cannot be supported by science. A study conducted by Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital found that women who ate 5 nuts a week had a reduced risk of cholecystectomy (a surgical procedure to remove their gallbladder) compared to women who ate 5 nuts a week women who ate less than 1 nut per week.
