Ruvubu National Park
The Ruvubu National Park is Burundi's biggest, covering more than 500 square kilometers. The park, which was established in 1980, is home to some of the country's most magnificent and stunning species, including hippos, buffalo, and crocodiles.
Ruvubu National Park is also recognized for its diverse collection of rare flora and flowers, as well as the seasonal migration of birds. The park's preservation is one of the country's top priorities, to the point that individuals have been removed from the region. The park has excellent camping facilities and is conveniently accessible by road.
Hippopotamus, Nile crocodile, Cape buffalo, waterbuck, various duiker species, five primate species, including olive baboon, vervet monkey, red colobus monkey, blue monkey, and Senegal bushbaby, are among the animal species that call it home.
