Slay the Spire

Slay the Spire is a deck-building roguelike computer game created by MegaCrit and sold by Humble Bundle. In late 2017, the game was published in early access for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux, with an official release date of January 2019. It was released in May 2019 for the PlayStation 4, June 2019 for the Nintendo Switch, and August 2019 for the Xbox One. An iOS version was launched in June 2020, followed by an Android version in February 2021.

In Slay the Spire, the player controls one of four characters as they seek to mount a spire with various floors generated through procedural generation, defeating foes and bosses along the way. Combat occurs via a collectible card game-based system, with the player obtaining new cards as rewards from combat and other ways, necessitating the player to apply deck-building game techniques to design an effective deck to finish the climb. Slay the Spire has garnered positive feedback. It received multiple awards in 2019 and is widely regarded as the game that sparked a slew of roguelike deck-building games.
