  1. In SteamWorld Heist, players will spend a significant amount of time constructing a crew of robots before storming opposing ships and killing their passengers before fleeing with the treasure. Heist has the same sense of humor as the rest of the series, and its plot frequently weaves in and out of hilarious scenes. The gameplay is also fantastic, with players having total control over the aim of their firearms, allowing them to do rioting trick shots or blow up barrels. All of the levels are procedurally created as well, so even once the 20-hour campaign is finished, a fresh adventure awaits in New Game+.

SteamWorld Heist has always been a fantastic game, and the Switch version may be the finest way to play it. Because it was built for the 3DS, the game is well suited for portable play, and the touch controls are nicely duplicated here. Of course, the fundamental gameplay remains just as enjoyable owing to brilliant design and a unique perspective on the strategy genre that has yet to be really challenged by other creators. SteamWorld Heist's few weaknesses are easily overlooked thanks to these virtues plus the immensely delightful and refined audio/visual design, making this edition well worth experiencing for both newbies and those who have played earlier versions.

  2. Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy video game created and released by Justin Ma and Matthew Davis' independent firm Subset Games. Following FTL: Faster Than Light, Into the Breach is their second game. Chris Avellone wrote the script, while Ben Prunty created the soundtrack. It was launched in February 2018 for Microsoft Windows, August 2018 for macOS and Nintendo Switch, and April 2020 for Linux. On September 18, 2020, the Nintendo Switch version was launched in Japan.

Into the Breach transports players to a distant future when mankind is under attack by massive creatures. Unlike other strategy games, Into the Breach foreshadows opponent movements, forcing players to engage with foes and prevent them from effectively completing their assaults. Each stage's main purpose is to preserve civilian structures on the battlefield, and each stage is displayed as part of a wider randomized network of levels. The game's difficulty curve is harsh and designed to encourage players to learn from their mistakes, but anybody willing to devote time and effort to mastering Into the Breach will be richly rewarded.

  3. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical role-playing game for the Nintendo Switch developed by Intelligent Systems and Koei Tecmo and released worldwide by Nintendo. It is the sixteenth entry in the Fire Emblem series[c] and the first for home consoles since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn in 2007. Three Houses is set on the continent of Fódlan, which is divided into three governing powers that are now at peace. The Garreg Mach Monastery, which includes a chapel and an officer's school for pupils from each nation, connects these nations. Taking on the role of Byleth, the academy's newest professor and a former mercenary with a strange background, the player must select a class to teach and shepherd their pupils through a series of conflicts.

Intelligent Systems attributed the game's success and prompt delivery to Koei Tecmo, with whom the business had previously collaborated on Fire Emblem Warriors. The team intended to create something completely fresh for the franchise's premiere on high-definition home consoles, so they created the school life mechanics and fight expansions. The character designs and graphics were created by Chinatsu Kurahana. The school system in the game, as well as a time jump later in the tale, were inspired by the fourth installment, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

  4. Dicey Dungeons is a deck-building game that blends features of roguelike games. Lady Luck challenges adventurers who have been transformed into dice to finish a dungeon with a fairly unlikely chance of regaining their freedom. The player chooses one of six characters, which determines the sort of equipment with which they begin. The user then maneuvers their character across a dungeon map, encountering creatures, treasure boxes, health supplies, stores, and upgrade stations, as well as exits to the next level.

Each run's purpose is to reach the dungeon's lowest level and fight the boss. This allows metagame advancement, such as new characters or new episodes for current characters that bring new rulesets that make runs more challenging. If the player-health characters reach zero, the game is ended and the player must restart again. If the adversary's health reaches zero, the enemy is beaten, and the player-character wins, collecting in-game monetary awards and character experience, as well as other potential benefits. Gaining levels grants the player-character greater total health as well as an additional die roll. Outside of combat, the player may also get new items to equip on their character. Level shops can be used to purchase new equipment, exchange equipment, or access additional features.

  5. Sid Meier's Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy 4X computer game produced by 2K Games and distributed by Take-Two Interactive. It was created by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games. Aspyr Media released the Mobile port. It was launched in October 2016 for Microsoft Windows and macOS, with subsequent versions for Linux in February 2017, iOS in December 2017, Nintendo Switch in November 2018, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2019, and Android in 2020.

Players accomplish this by exploring the world, establishing new cities, improving existing cities, deploying military forces to attack and defend against others, researching new technologies and civic advancements, developing an influential culture, and engaging in trade and negotiations with other world leaders.

  6. Dinosaur Polo Club, a New Zealand indie development team, created Mini Metro, a puzzle strategy video game. Players must build an effective rail transit network for a rapidly developing metropolis. Stations are represented by variously shaped nodes, and players can link them by creating lines. The levels are based on real cities, and the look of stations and people is produced procedurally. The game's graphic style mimics the appearance of current transportation maps by using vivid colors and minimal geometry. A generative audio system is used in the game to produce noises depending on the player's activities and the transit network. The rhythms and noises were inspired by works of minimal music.

Mini Metro was created in April 2013 for a video game creation competition, and a prototype version was made available for free on web browsers. The creators applied a series of limits during the game's conceptualization phase to limit its scope and ensure the project could be completed. Following the event, the game's development proceeded, and an in-development version was launched commercially for Linux, OS X, and Windows in August 2014. Mini Metro was released in full on PC in November 2015, Android and iOS in October 2016, and Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

  8. Two Point Hospital is a 2018 business simulation game released by Sega for Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows by Two Point Studios. In February 2020, console versions for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch were published. Theme Hospital's spiritual sequel, players are entrusted with establishing and maintaining an empire of hospitals in the fictional Two Point County, with the objective of healing patients with fake, funny maladies. The emphasis on comedy to lighten the mood was thought crucial by the creators because visiting actual hospitals is frequently unpleasant. Some of Theme Hospital's founders, notably Mark Webley and Gary Carr, planned and produced the game.

Within a few weeks of its release, Two Point Hospital was the second most downloaded game in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. The game was well-received by critics, who praised it for its style, comedy, and fidelity to Theme Hospital's aesthetics while criticizing it for its repetitiveness and room design. Following its debut, the game got seven significant upgrades as downloadable content, including new areas and ailments to treat, as well as four-item packs. Two Point Campus, the sequel, is expected to be released in 2022.

It is the sequel to the GameCube titles Pikmin (2001) and Pikmin 2 (2004), and it was published on July 13, 2013, in Japan, and the following month in the rest of the world. Shigeru Miyamoto announced Pikmin 3 for the Wii system on July 16, 2008, subsequently confirming at E3 2011 that it has shifted to the Wii U.

It expands on the Pikmin franchise by adding new player characters, Pikmin kinds, Off-TV Play, and downloadable content. 10. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based strategy adventure game for the Nintendo Switch video game system developed by Ubisoft Milan and released by Ubisoft and Nintendo. The game is a collaboration between Nintendo's Mario and Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids series. The plot of Kingdom Battle follows Mario, his pals, and a gang of Rabbids as they struggle to preserve the Mushroom Kingdom from invading Rabbids who have mistakenly mishandled a powerful invention and are wreaking havoc.

Ubisoft Milan creative director Davide Soliani and Ubisoft brand producer Xavier Manzanares created Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle in 2014. The design goals were to emphasize the dissonance of both franchises and to create a strategy game with distinct aspects. As a result, its visual features and animation were created to be casual and bright, and its soundtrack was composed by Grant Kirkhope, a well-known video game composer. Although the game had a negative reaction when it was first leaked, owing mostly to its usage of the Rabbids franchise and weapons, it was praised when it was formally presented at E3 2017.
