Sparkling water
Sparkling water can be naturally carbonated from a mineral spring or artificially carbonated using carbon dioxide gas. The carbonation makes it similar to soft drinks, but with far fewer calories. Many flavors of sparkling water are available, but they are usually unsweetened, making them a great low-carb alternative.
Sparkling water is just as hydrating as still water. It can help deter dehydration. Dehydration can cause dry mouth, fatigue, headache, and decreased performance. Heart, kidney and digestive problems may all be brought on by chronic dehydration. But not all sparkling waters are made equal. Before buying a sparkling water product, it's important to read the nutrition label as some may include additional sugars or artificial sweeteners.
