Tashkent University of Information Technologies
Tashkent University of Information Technologies, named after Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi and commonly abbreviated as TU or TUIT, is one of the best universities in Uzbekistan, situated in Tashkent. Tashkent University of Information Technologies was established in 1955 as the Tashkent Electro Technical Institute of Communication, and it was the region's primary and only source of communication engineers. It is now one of the most important universities in Uzbekistan for developing ICT skills. A presidential resolution named the institution after Al-Khwarizmi in order to strengthen its significance inside the country and internationally.
The institution offers bachelor's degrees in 11 fields of study and master's degrees in 13 specializations. During 30,000 engineers, both bachelor's and master's degree holders, have been trained at the institution over the last 50 years. There are around 150 Doctors of Science and Candidates of Science among its alumni.
The kids have access to all of the resources they need to engage in active learning and enjoyable recreation. Departments and research laboratories conduct research using funds from the state budget, grants, and contracts. The university has regional branches in places including Nukus, Karshi, Samarkand, Fergana, and Urgench. Bachelor's and master's degrees in informatics and information technologies are primarily prepared in these fields. A center for enhancing the level of engineers' abilities in the field of communication and information technologies, a center for training women to work in the sphere of information and telecommunication technologies, CISCO courses, and other centers and courses are available at the institution. The university's library fund contains over 300,000 books and is continually expanding and modernizing.
