  1. The Westminster International Institution in Tashkent (WIUT) is Uzbekistan's and Central Asia's first international university to offer Western education with UK degrees. WIUT was founded in 2002 as a collaboration between the Presidential Foundation "UMID," Uzbekistan's Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, and the University of Westminster in London (UoW). WIUT's purpose is to provide international educational standards and research opportunities that benefit the intellectual, social, and professional growth of Central Asian populations as well as the global community.


    WIUT offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degree programs. Faculty members at WIUT hold international degrees and have worked in international organizations. Many of our professors have obtained doctorates from prestigious universities in Australia, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, and the United States.

    From 2020 onwards, the University will operate under a new academic administration structure. WIUT now has three schools: School of Business and Economics, School of Law, Technology and Education, and the Graduate School, which offers PhD programs, according to the newly constituted organization. Academic departments with topic areas are found at each institution.

  2. Tashkent University of Information Technologies, named after Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi and commonly abbreviated as TU or TUIT, is one of the best universities in Uzbekistan, situated in Tashkent. Tashkent University of Information Technologies was established in 1955 as the Tashkent Electro Technical Institute of Communication, and it was the region's primary and only source of communication engineers. It is now one of the most important universities in Uzbekistan for developing ICT skills. A presidential resolution named the institution after Al-Khwarizmi in order to strengthen its significance inside the country and internationally.


    The institution offers bachelor's degrees in 11 fields of study and master's degrees in 13 specializations.   3. Tashkent State Educational University began as a pedagogical institute in 1935. It was known as the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute from 1953 to 1998. The institute was given full university status in 1998.


    Primary education, pedagogics, physics and mathematics, natural sciences, history, vocational education, foreign languages, special pedagogy, innovative pedagogy, Russian language and literature, and preschool education are among the university's 11 faculties. Each faculty is separated into departments that provide a variety of bachelor's and master's degree programs. There's also a pre-military training department that teaches pupils the practical skills and information they'll need to enter the military. Military training, physical culture, and children's sports are among the topics covered by the faculty.

    For students who choose a more flexible approach to their education, the institution offers a part-time program.   4. The Central Asian Financial-Economical Institution (CAFEI) was established in 1931. Tashkent Financial-Economical Institution was afterwards renamed. It was renamed Tashkent State Economical University in 1962. On May 13, 1991, the university was renamed the Tashkent Financial Institute under the Tashkent State Economical University after Uzbekistan attained independence.


    The Tashkent Financial Institute was founded on the initiative of Uzbekistan's first president, Islam Karimov. It has achieved rapid success in both the local and international arenas in a short period of time due to hard effort and the excellence of the university employees.   5. The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) was founded on September 23, 1992, at the initiative of Uzbekistan's President, as the country's first higher educational institution. International Economic Relations, International Law, and International Relations are the three professional schools of UWED.


    UWED has completed the transition to a comprehensive educational system, which includes a five-year undergraduate degree program and a two-year master's degree program. The institution has adequate intellectual depth to offer doctorates in a number of academic subjects. Three departments, 22 chair departments, and eight centers provide instruction in international relations, political science, global economics, and law, with 16 full professors, more than 70 holders of Doctor or Candidate of Sciences degrees, 55 associate professors, and 87 competent faculty members.   7. The Samarkand State Medical Institute is Central Asia's oldest medical institution, providing high-quality training to medical specialists of the greatest caliber. The institute is located in Samarkand, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, which has long been a center of scientific thought and outstanding culture.   8. Tashkent Medical Academy is a public medical school and research institution in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with undergraduate and graduate programs. The TMA is one of Uzbekistan's oldest and largest universities, as well as the country's hub for medical education and research in medicine and life sciences.


    It began as the Turkestan State University's Faculty of Medicine in 1920, and was renamed the Tashkent Medical Institute in 1931, State Medical Institute in 1936, and the Second Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1990.   10. MDIST (Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent) is one of Uzbekistan's first foreign university branches. It was founded to meet the growing demand for experts in a variety of sectors. It has produced almost 2,000 graduates since its inception.


    President Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan was invited to Singapore by Singaporean President S.R.Nathan in January 2007 to address significant world issues and enhance bilateral cooperation. During his visit to Singapore, Karimov signed a number of documents aimed at strengthening bilateral collaboration in a variety of areas. The subject about education in Uzbekistan was one of the most essential aspects of the visit. Following the visit, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued decree number PD-691 on September 5, 2007, establishing the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent.


    Tashkent's Management Development Institute is a joint venture educational institution that provides internationally recognized degrees. The Management Development Institute of Singapore and the Uzbekistan Banking Association are the two entities that now hold it. They control 51 percent and 49 percent, respectively, of the institute. In Tashkent, the Singapore Management Development Institute collaborates with two foreign universities: the University of Sunderland, Bangor University, and Teesside University (United Kingdom). All MDIS Tashkent students are required to pick one of the partner institutions to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies after completing the Foundation Program.
