The University of Maroua
The University of Maroua is a public higher education institution in Maroua, Cameroon's Far North Region, founded in 2008. It was established by Presidential Decree and is officially recognized by Cameroon's Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur (Ministry of Higher Education, Cameroon).
The University of Maroua is well-known throughout the country and, as a result of its high-quality education, is ranked among the greatest universities in its specialities. Despite being one of Cameroon's youngest universities, the University of Maroua has a high position in international rankings. The University of Maroua offers programs and courses that lead to official higher education degrees in a variety of fields of study.
Since the academic year 2014/2015, the institution now has 7 institutions as follows: The Institut Supérieur du Sahel, The Faculty of Arts and Humanities, The Faculty of Science, The Faculty of Juridical and Political Sciences, The Faculty of Economics and Management, The Institute of Mines and Petroleum Industries, and The Ecole Normale Supérieure.
