TVXQ (DBSK)
TVXQ is also known as DBSK, which translates to the Rising Gods of the East. They were formed in 2003 by SM Entertainment and began as a five-member boy group. They really broke through with Mirotic in 2008, which is still regarded as one of the most popular Kpop songs of all time.
TVXQ has become one of Asia's most successful music acts of their generation, selling over 10 million physical records in the first ten years of their career. For their enormous success and contributions to the Hallyu, they are frequently referred to as "Asia's Stars" and the "Kings of K-pop." According to the Oricon, TVXQ has the most number-one singles and albums in Japan for a foreign artist and is also Japan's best-selling foreign artist in CD singles of all time. TVXQ is the first non-Japanese Asian artist to headline a five-Dome tour in the United States, as well as the first foreign artist to perform at Nissan Stadium. According to Billboard, the group is "K-pop royalty".
