Wemade Co., Ltd., situated in Seongnam, South Korea, was formerly known as Wemade Entertainment Co., Ltd. The Legend of Mir 2 and its successor, The Legend of Mir 3, are two of their most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). At its peak, Legend of Mir had over 120 million monthly active users in Asia and was responsible for over $65 million in monthly income. Legend of Mir 2 continues to bring in well over $20 million monthly in China even after nine years of existence.
Wemade's co-founder, Kwan Ho Park, is worth $1.2 billion as of October 19, according to Forbes. WeMade Entertainment fielded a professional gaming team known as WeMade FOX between 2007 and 2011, with players who were consistently ranked in the top tiers of competition in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft: Brood War, and Warcraft III.
WeMade FOX had some high-earning players including NaDa and Jang Jae "Moon" Ho, and they were sponsored by companies like Pepsi, Skechers, GomTV, and Mizuno. Former players were placed under the custody of KeSPA on August 31, 2011, and the squad was formally disbanded the following day.
