  1. This beautiful family-friendly beach has it all: the top-notch amenities of a well-developed tourist destination and the pristine atmosphere of an unspoilt natural site. The lovely golden-sand shoreline of Golden Cove, which runs along a small bay on Malta's rugged northwest coast, is rather large. There is plenty of space for sunbathing visitors to spread out.

The beach is surrounded by shrub-covered cliffs and hillsides, which provide wind protection. The place has a secluded feel due to its undeveloped rural surroundings. The nearest road can't be seen from the beach, and there's no traffic noise to drown out the soothing sound of gently crashing waves.

    Golden Bay Beach
is known for its turquoise seas that are stunningly pure. In general, the swimming and snorkeling conditions are great. During the high season, lifeguards patrol the beach and flags are used to express safety warnings. The beach is well-equipped, with public restrooms, changing rooms, and a kiosk where you may hire lounge chairs and beach umbrellas. There's also a beachfront snack shop with fantastic sea views that serves sandwiches, snacks, and coffee drinks on a patio.

The five-star Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, which overlooks Golden Bay, is a popular choice for summer beach vacations. Because of its numerous restaurants and excellent guest services, this resort is particularly appealing to families with children. Popeye Village, a children's attraction about a 15-minute drive from the hotel, is another appeal. Golden Bay Beach is known for its beautiful sunsets, which are a highlight for tourists staying the night.

  2. The largest beach on Gozo Island is Ir-Ramla il-Hamra, often known as Ramla Bay. The beach has a long, wide beach with fine reddish sand and few rocks along the shore breaks. Ir-Ramla il-Hamra is a genuinely unique beach with a nice bucolic environment. The large beach is nestled in a rich valley surrounded by rolling hills where agricultural thrives. The hike here from the towns of Nadur or Xaghra is framed by steep cliffs that frame the coastline leading to the beach and give spectacular scenery.

The waves are modest and safe for swimming and snorkeling because the beach is located in a sheltered harbor. Another advantage is that the seafloor is shallow, making the beach excellent for splashing around with children. Public bathrooms and change rooms are available in Ramla Bay. There are snack shops, ice cream stands, and stands that rent out lounge chairs and beach umbrellas during the summer. Unfortunately, there are no lifeguards on duty at this beach. The beach is centered on a statue of the Virgin Mary (Our Lady of Hope). This statue was erected in 1881.

  3. Ghajn Tuffieha (Maltese meaning "Apple's Eye," also known as Riviera) is located on Malta's northwestern coast, behind the small settlement of Manikata. Unlike nearby Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha Bay is less accessible, but it appears to be almost unspoiled by man, with natural beauty all around. Because the beach is smaller than that of Golden Bay, it might get crowded during high season.

It easily rates #1 on the list of top beaches in Malta of many people, with clay hills and towering cliffs on either side of the sea, red sand, and clean, clear water. To go down to the shore, you'll have to descend a long flight of steps (about 100), so save some of your energy for the climb back up. If you're not too concerned about your health, it's the ideal spot for a relaxing afternoon of swimming, sunbathing, and watching the clouds pass by. Sun beds and umbrellas may be rented here, and there's a snack shop on the beach that serves some nice meals. On busy days, cars line both sides of the major entrance road for hundreds of meters, despite the fact that there is a parking place at the top of the steps.

It is fairly easy to get there by bus, although there is a slope to the south that leads to Gnejna beach. The cliff on the north side features Ghajn Mixkuka Tower, another of Malta's coastal watchtowers, as well as a little abandoned hotel in a pretty decrepit state that hasn't been demolished for some reason. Ghajn Tuffieha is notorious for its strong undercurrents in the off-season, despite being great for swimming in the summer. If you decide to face the cold and go for a swim nevertheless, keep an eye on the flag system, which will give you a decent indication of whether the sea is safe to swim in. "Do as the natives do" is still the greatest rule of thumb. Lifeguards are only on duty during the summer months, as they are in Golden Bay.

  4. Mellieha Bay (also known as Ghadira Bay) is Malta's largest beach and one of the island's most popular. Except on the peak summer weekends, the beach rarely feels crowded due to its size. This beach is ideal for families because it has a fine sand beach and calm waves with no undercurrents. The shallow seabed stretches for a long way. In fact, for around 50 meters offshore, the water is only knee-deep, making it safe for children to splash around and swim. The swimming area is separated from the boating area for enhanced protection. During summer (June through September), lifeguards are on duty and keep a watchful eye on children while they swim around in the water.

Water sports including as windsurfing, water-skiing, and kayaking are popular at Mellieha Bay. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for its environmental quality and services. Nature lovers and birdwatchers will enjoy the Ghadira Nature Reserve, which is located directly across the street from the beach.

Mellieha Bay has an edge over other beaches on Malta's northeastern coast in that it has a diverse selection of accommodation alternatives, making it perfect for a week-long or weekend beach vacation. Tourists can stay at a luxurious four-star resort or in more modest lodgings. The Mellieha Bay Hotel provides excellent customer service as well as stylish, modern accommodations with views of the sea. A restaurant, room service, a large outdoor swimming pool with a spacious sundeck, and a fitness center are among the amenities.

  5. Gnejna Bay beach is located two kilometers south of Mgarr settlement. A completely rural location with only fisherman's and boat owners' boat homes erected along the bay's edge. A sandy beach is bordered by clay and limestone slopes, creating a really natural setting. The top of the hill is dominated by a guard tower. The sandy beach occupies nearly the entire beach area. The flat rock bed on the right is great for individuals who enjoy this beach but prefer not to walk in the sand. It provides a broader range of bathing opportunities or a more flexible day for those who want to get away from the crowns. It is not well known with tourists, and so you will meet more locals than foreigners. Visitors must descend a steep staircase through the hillside to reach the seashore at Gnejna Bay Beach. The stretch of fine golden sand and the sparkling lakes please nature enthusiasts.

This bay is one of three bays that are close together. Ghajn Tuffieha is nearby, followed by Golden Bay. They're all separated by towering rock and clay peninsulas, and there are no highways linking them. Both Riviera Martinique and Golden Bay are about a twenty-minute drive away from here via Mgarr.

You'll find perfect peace and plenty of room to stretch your legs here. Swimming is available at a variety of locations along the beach. Snorkeling is a fantastic option thanks to the crystal clear water. The right-hand inner half is a nudist retreat, despite the fact that this is forbidden in Malta. Facilities include public restrooms, snack bars, and stands that rent out lounge chairs and beach umbrellas.

  6. Blue Lagoon is on the island of Comino in the Maltese Archipelago, off the northern coast of Malta, on the shores of a beautiful lagoon. The little island of Cominotto is close by and can be reached by swimming or walking along the shoal.
White sand covers the bottom and a narrow line near the entry in the water. The rest of the beach is made up of an uneven rocky surface that you should walk on in comfortable shoes.

During the summer, tourists might expect to see a lot of people. The shaded lounge chairs that are accessible in the morning hours are packed with sunbathers. The only places to stretch out after that are on the rocky hillside above the beach, which is in direct sunlight. On the beach, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, however the first people normally get all the beach equipment. On the sand, two loungers with umbrellas cost €25, while on the stones, two sunbeds with umbrellas cost €20. A free public toilet with shower and changing stall is located near the beach. There is a network of little shops around Blue Lagoon where you may buy drinks and meals.

It's simple to see why the Blue Lagoon is so popular with tourists. The natural lagoon is so serene and pure that it looks like a huge swimming pool. The lagoon appears to be a large entertainment center on hot summer days, with kids floating on inflatable tubes. Comino attracts tourists from all over the world, including Western Europe, the United States, and other countries. Because of the enormous volume of visitors to the beach, there are no Maltese present. The island's aquatic region, with its underwater grottoes, is a popular destination for divers, scuba divers, and snorkelers. Those who enjoy land and underwater photography and videotaping will be drawn to the attractive surroundings.

  7. Despite the fact that the sandy beach at Pretty Bay in Birzebbuga was built by developers rather than nature, it retains its beauty and charm. It's a popular local hangout because it's one of the few beaches on Malta's southern coast with a sandy beach.

The Pretty Bay coastline is bordered by a garden and a commercial area lined with restaurants, cafés, snack bars, and ice cream shops, making it a bustling scene throughout the summer. On your vacation, you can spend valuable time at a beautiful and clean beach. It is safe for all members of the family, especially little children, because it takes a walk in the water. It is also lifeguard-assisted to assure swimmers' safety.

Many residents own summerhouses near Pretty Bay and live there throughout the summer. The promenade is a popular spot to walk in the evening. If you visit Pretty Bay, don't miss the Ghar Dalam - the Cave of Darkness, which has semi-fossilized remains dating back over 250,000 years!

  8. This peaceful, family-friendly beach on Malta's northern coast is a wonderful alternative to Mellieha Bay, which is only three kilometers away. Because of its secluded location in the countryside and away from the road, Armier Bay enjoys a peaceful atmosphere.

The magnificent sandy shoreline of Armier Bay is kissed by clear blue waves. With calm waves, the sea is pristine and stunningly clear. In comparison to Mellieha Bay, tourist facilities are sparse, but there are a few snack bars, refreshment stands, and restaurants. Water sports equipment, as well as lounge chairs and beach umbrellas, can be rented.

Armier Bay is exposed to the open sea, which means severe undercurrents might exist. Before entering the sea, it's a good idea to consult the locals about safety. At Armier Bay, there are no lifeguards. The beach offers spectacular views of Gozo and Comino islands in the distance, thanks to its location on Malta's northernmost coast.

  9. St. Peter's Pool beach is located near Cape Delimar on Malta's southwest coast, 3.5 kilometers from Marsaxlokk and 13.5 kilometers from Valletta. The beach is nestled between rocks of varying shapes and terraces that drop to the sea.

Smooth rocks surround the crystal ocean, which is as tranquil as a swimming pool, in a calm protected cove. The sun reflects on the lake, revealing fascinating turquoise and azure hues. The sea at St. Peter's Pool has a stunning blue turquoise hue and is immaculately clean. Massive flat stone slabs surround the sea pool, providing ideal sunbathing spots for visitors. It's a long way down to the water. Tourists are welcome to spend time in St. Peter's Pool with children over the age of ten who can swim well.

On the shore, there is no infrastructure. You should bring a mattress or a soft bedspread, a beach umbrella, food, and drinks when visiting St. Peter's Pool. This beach also is a well-known beach where divers, snorkelers, and campers congregate. There are numerous Maltese visitors with their families among them, as well as tourists from France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

  10. Mgarr ix-Xini Bay is a sliver of an inlet surrounded by sheer, barren cliffs. Visitors are astonished by the unique beauty and peacefulness of this hidden location. A small pebbly beach at the head of the entrance provides a modest drop into the water, which is flanked by rock. There are rocks along the sides from which you can swim directly into deep water. Although there are steps available, some people prefer to jump.

Mgarr ix-Xini Bay's crystal-clear waters are ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. Divers flock to the harbor for various fascinating caverns in the cliff sides, as well as the adjacent wreck (deliberately scuttled) of the ferryboat "Xlendi." Rock climbing is common on the hillsides.

Except for a modest pebble beachfront, Mgarr ix-Xini Bay does not have much of a beach. The spectacular scenery compensates for the lack of a beach. There are no visitor amenities at this location. Tourists should bring all of their necessary equipment. CNN named Marr Ix-Xini as one of the top ten locations to visit in 2015.

  11. In the buzzing St. Julian's resort region, St. George's Bay has recently created a name for itself. Despite the fact that St. Julian's is a hotspot for summer vacations among college students and twenty-somethings, there was no excellent sandy beach in the vicinity until a few years ago.

The beach at St. George's Bay was built with sand brought in from overseas by the local municipality. The result is a lovely stretch of beach that caters to the many sunbathers who flock to the area throughout the summer months.

St. George's Bay is a fantastic swimming spot in the summer. To ensure safety, lifeguards are on duty. Many restaurants, cafés, and hotels surround St. George's Bay. A beach club, a business that rents water sports equipment, and a scuba diving center are all nearby for beach goers and water sports aficionados.

  12. Xlendi is a modest beach vacation town that was formerly little more than a small fishing village. The settlement, which stands in a gorge overlooking a lovely bay, is surrounded by steep cliffs. In the bay's marina, colorful fishermen's boats may still be seen bouncing up and down.

Swimming, snorkeling, and diving are all popular activities at Xlendi Bay. A little sandy beach leads into shallow seas that are ideal for both young and old, while the more daring can swim and snorkel in deeper water off the beach's lengthy stretch of rocks.
