  3. Korea University is a private university that was established in 1905. The university's current name was given to it in 1946 after it was renamed Bosung College. The South Korean university has two campuses, one in Seoul, Anam, and the other in Sejong, both about 80 miles apart.   4. The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, or KAIST, is a public university that was established in 1971. The main campus of the science and technology-focused university, where more than 90% of students attend classes, is in Daejeon, South Korea. Daejeon is about 85 miles south of Seoul, the capital city. Tuition is usually the same for international and domestic students. Many government and school-sponsored scholarships are also available to KAIST students, including some that cover full tuition and fees. The university has over 20 student dormitories and a few apartment complexes for married students.

  5. Yonsei University is a private university that dates back to 1885 when Christian missionaries established a hospital that later became part of the university. The current university was established in 1957. The South Korean university has several campuses, the most important of which is the Sinchon campus in Seoul. The International Campus in Songdo, which opened in 2010, and the Wonju Campus are two other locations. The university focuses on science and engineering and is located in Pohang, South Korea, about 250 miles southeast of the capital city, Seoul.   8. Sejong University is a private university in Seoul, South Korea that is well-known for its programs in hospitality and tourism management, dancing, animation, and rhythmic gymnastics.
