This unspoiled island of 15 square miles, part of Ream National Park, is only home to a small fishing village of about 200 people and a few small bungalows. This is a fantastic island for nature lovers – the beach is littered with exotic shells, there's a coral reef for snorkelling just offshore, and the jungle interior is home to over a hundred different bird species. Monkeys, civets, lizards, and several threatened species live on Koh Thmei, including the fishing cat, a wetland feline that lives near streams and mangrove forests.

Hiking, bird watching, snorkelling, and renting a two-person sea kayak are all options for visitors. There are nearby deserted beaches where you can see dolphins swimming along the coast. Currently, the only place to stay on the island is the Koh Thmei Resort, which has a private beach and garden as well as simple but clean bungalows powered by solar energy.

Koh Krabey is a tropical island paradise off Cambodia's southwest coast, just 15 minutes by boat from the Ream National Park pier in Sihanoukville. Lonely Beach, as the name suggests, is an isolated area of Koh Rong in a serene setting unspoiled by visitors, offering stunning sunsets and spectacular luminous plankton.

There are a variety of bars and restaurants serving both traditional Khmer dishes and international cuisine. Check out Nest Beach Club, Skybar, Vagabonds, and Monkey Island for a taste of Koh Rong's nightlife. Dragon Den Pub, the island's first bar, is still going strong. There are numerous businesses offering water sports activities such as diving, snorkelling, and kayaking, as well as bicycle rentals.

Koh Rong Sanloem is Koh Rong's more laid-back sister island. The smaller Koh Rong Sanloem is quickly becoming a backpacker's paradise, with cheap dorm rooms and all-night parties, as well as a Full Moon Party! There are more than a dozen resorts on Saracen Bay, a heart-shaped inlet with calm turquoise surf and beautiful white sand beaches, ranging from simple wooden bungalows to luxury air-conditioned villas.

There are numerous inexpensive accommodation options and a laid-back, backpacker vibe in M'phey Bei, a small fishing village. Koh Sdach, a fishing village island, is one of the most beautiful islands in Cambodia, is located a 15-minute boat ride off the Cambodian coast and is dominated by a sizeable fishing village that stretches along the side of the island that faces the mainland. While fishing is the mainstay of the local economy, the village also has a large ice-making plant where you can watch the process and see the ice being transported by boat to the surrounding islands.

On the other end, there's the Belgian-run Belinda Beach Lovely Resort, which has its own private beach, landscaped gardens, and swimming pool. However, all of the options here are overpriced for what you get. The main beach on the island's far side is a somewhat rocky affair that sits beside the island's premier karaoke bar. You can swim here if you want, and the water is crystal clear; as an added bonus, you can't hear the karaoke while you're underwater. On the island, accommodation is available at both the high and low ends of the price and quality spectrum. There are two basic Cambodian-run guesthouses to choose from, Meanchey Guesthouse and Doung Chai Guesthouse, which are both good options for those looking for a completely authentic stay in a Cambodian fishing village.

Koh Ta Kiev is one of the most beautiful islands in Cambodia to visit, and what makes it so special is that it is largely untouched. On Koh Ta Kiev, there are numerous activities to enjoy. Because much of the island has yet to be explored and altered, you will be able to enjoy much of its natural beauty. Koh Ta Kiev is approximately 15 square miles in size, so if you want to spend a few days sleeping outdoors and walking around, the island is ideal.

Because there has been so little human interaction with the island, many of the sea life and plants that live beneath the water are healthy and flourishing. This makes scuba diving and snorkelling an exciting adventure, as you will see many animals and plants that are not found anywhere else on the planet. The island is small, but you can spend a few hours here trekking through the trees. Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen – the heat and UV rays are relentless here. A sunhat is also a good idea. In order to avoid getting lost in the middle of the jungle, ask your guesthouse for a rough outline of the trek and keep an eye out for the relevant coloured markings.

Koh Russei, also known as Bamboo Island, is about six miles off the coast of Sihanoukville Province in Cambodia, close to Koh Rong. This is a lovely island that is part of the Ream National Park, a nature preserve that protects the greatest number of endangered and threatened species on the planet. Koh Russei, a truly incredible place, is a popular getaway for a slice of secluded beaches surrounded by mangrove forests, which are home to many wildlife species of animals and birds. It is also known as Bamboo islands. While in Sihanoukville, it is recommended to take a day trip to Bamboo Island for a beach day.

Koh Russey is a true gem of a beach, with fine pink or ochre sand and a deep and mysterious forest. Koh Russey is ideal for those who enjoy the sun setting into the sea while being surrounded by jungle sounds. A gentle island, its virgin, private, and intimate characteristics make it a site for high-end development and positively compare with the world's most exclusive sites. Bamboo Island is accessible via private boat or from a beach near Ream National Park (about 20km east of Sihanoukville).

The beautiful, tiny and undeveloped island of Koh Totang is part of a 12-island archipelago in Cambodia’s Koh Kong province. Koh Totang, located in the national park and off the coast west of Sihanoukville, has a small population of only a few people. The only way to get there is to catch a private taxi to the beach and then arrange with the only resort on the island - Nomads Land - to come and pick you up in a small wooden boat. Nomads Land is an eco-friendly guesthouse, restaurant, and bar that runs entirely on rainwater and solar panels, completely off the grid.

Koh Totang is surrounded by a beautiful coral reef in all directions, and its rocky coastline is home to colourful marine life, beautiful birds, and hidden sandy beaches. At night, phosphorescence gives the beach a neon glow and fireflies illuminate the sky.

Koh Reachbot, also known as Prince Island, is a small and beautiful island in Cambodia's Preah Sihanouk Province. It's one of the most beautiful islands in Cambodia, and you can walk from the beach due to the construction of wooden walkways and bridges. Koh Reachbot is one of the world's best scuba diving destinations. Visitors can also snorkel and swim in the bays that surround the beautiful island. Coral reefs and a plethora of underwater creatures, including fantastically coloured nudibranchs, poisonous pufferfish, and dazzling stingrays with electric blue spots, can be found at the island's eight popular diving sites.

You can fish along the Koh Reachbot shoreline, or you can take a boat out into the deep waters that surround the island in search of larger fish to catch.
