The Comoros Islands are located in the Mozambique Channel, and Anjouan is one of them. Anjouan island is most beautiful islands in Comoros. It's made up of the eroded remains of a huge shield volcano that erupted during the Pleistocene period. Fissure vent eruptions occurred in three directions, followed by a long period of erosion. Volcanic activity resumed, resulting in a series of lava flows that flooded deep valleys and swamped areas near the shore. The island's high, mountainous landscape and black sand beaches are well-known. Mount Ntringui, at 1,595 meters (5,233 feet) above sea level, is the highest peak on the island of Anjouan. Domoni is Anjouan's second most important (and most populous) city.

Anjouan has a wide variety of plants, many of which are edible. Cassava, bananas, mangoes, soursop, avocados, oranges, taro, and vanilla are all abundant on the island.

The Shiromani, a sheet-like article of clothing that women wrap over their bodies, is popular in Anjouan. The Shiromani is frequently crimson, reflecting the hue of Anjouan's island.

Grande Comore is an island off the coast of Africa in the Comoros. In the Comoros nation, it is the largest and one of the most beautiful islands in Comore. The Comorian ethnic group makes up the majority of the population. It has a population of around 316,600 people as of 2006. Moroni, the island's capital and the country's capital, is also the national capital.

Mount Karthala, the country's highest point at 2,361 meters (7,746 feet) above sea level, is made up of two shield volcanoes. It, like the other islands, is controlled by an elected Governor, with the federal government's influence greatly limited. The name Ngazidja is sometimes spelled Njazidja, which is now uncommon.

Mohéli, sometimes known as Mwali, is a self-governing island in the Union of the Comoros. It is the smallest of the country's three major islands. It is the smallest of the four major Comoro Islands, located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa. Fomboni is the country's capital and largest city.

The island, which is mostly made up of a plateau with an average elevation of about 1,000 feet (300 meters), finishes in the west with a ridge that rises more than 2,600 feet (790 meters) above sea level. The valleys are often rich, and the hillsides are densely forested. Shipping is hampered by a large sea swell.

BirdLife International has designated this area as an Important Bird Area (IBA) because it supports populations of Comoro olive pigeons, Comoro blue pigeons, tropical shearwaters, Mohéli scops owls, Malagasy harriers, Mohéli brush warblers, Mohéli bulbuls, Comoro thrushes, Humblot's sunbirds, and red-headed fodies.
