11 Howard
With a location that brings SoHo, NoLiTa, and Chinatown all within reach, 11 Howard is without a doubt one of the chicest upmarket hotels in Manhattan. The 11 Howard feels polished and sharp without being pretentious, in contrast to some of the city's other upscale lodgings. A minimalist aesthetic predominates, with rich details and amenities like The Library, the hotel's immaculately furnished coworking space. Here, the food and drink are excellent, from Le Cou Cou and in-room dining to The Blond, a seductive and cozy bar. The amenities are rounded off by a modest fitness facility and an infrared sauna, albeit you have to pay for the latter and the daily amenity cost is high.
The 221 rooms, lobby, bar, and library of Space Copenhagen all have a stylish, Scandi style thanks to the talented architects Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou. Think of antique mirrors, bleached wood floors, and stuffed furniture from companies like Gubi and &Tradition. The hotel's interior walls and even it is outside are decorated with some breathtaking artworks, as Mr. Rosen is one of the world's most prominent art collectors. Oh, and the room service is so unique you won't believe it. To order seasonal, chef-driven dishes around-the-clock, simply touch the tablet that is left in each room.
