The Beekman
The Beekman is one of the Best Design Hotels In NYC. After a long day of shopping and sightseeing, The Beekman is the perfect spot for you if you enjoy being greeted by a kind bellhop. Once known as "that abandoned building," the Gothic-styled former commercial location has had a stunning comeback thanks to renovations that have brought back many of its original 1883 features, including the impressive atrium and the large skylight.
The 287 rooms now consist of 45 suites and two "Turret" duplexes with roof access. Inside, the furnishings range from bureaux with marble tops in the guest rooms to public areas with walls covered in leather. Thanks to two divine restaurants run by chef Tom Colicchio, the eating experience is appropriately outstanding (Gramercy Tavern). The concierge is, of course, a comprehensive local guide if you'd like to see what new stores have opened in this trendy neighborhood. All of this is included with the excellent service.
