The Moxy
Each floor of the Moxy, which is situated in one of Manhattan's most artistically diverse neighborhoods, is inspired by a different period in the history of the East Village, with obvious nods to rock and roll, graffiti art, and other countercultures for which the area is famous.
A rooftop bar, lobby bar and café, subterranean lounge, and French-Mediterranean restaurant are just a few of the 286 design-driven bedrooms, co-working spaces, tech-savvy amenities, and cultural programming that reflect the area's richly diverse fabric. Four new eating and drinking concepts by TAO Group also include these establishments.
A quad bunk, a queen + day bed, a normal queen, or a double-double are just a few of the layouts available in Yabu Pushelberg's 286 minimalist-designed rooms, which sleep one to four people. The rooms have a pegboard wall that keeps everything organized, ingenious under-bed storage, and fold-away furniture.
The soaring main dining room of the hotel's dramatic restaurant Cathédrale, designed by the Rockwell Group, evokes the feeling of discovering an undiscovered architectural gem: A substantial wire mesh sculpture hangs from its triple-height, 26-foot ceiling.
