Alexandria University

Alexandria University in Egypt was founded in 1938 as Farouk University and operated as a satellite institution of Fuad University (which would later become Cairo University). Alexandria University gained independence in 1942 and was renamed following the Egyptian Revolution of 1952.

Alexandria
, now a public university, has 150,000 full-time students, making it the country's second-largest university. It also serves over 16,000 part-time undergraduates and about 5,000 international students, with over 8,000 academic staff members, more than half of whom hold a Ph.D.

Agriculture, Medicine, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Law, and Science were among the seven original university faculties, which have since grown to a total of 23. Tourism and sports education are two newer specializations.

Scientists, legislators, film directors, and the first Egyptian Nobel Laureate in a scientific area are among Alexandria University's alumni. This is one of the best universities in Egypt.

The official colors of the university are white and blue. Alexandria is Egypt's second-largest city, its cultural hub, and a regional economic powerhouse. It is known as the "Pearl of the Mediterranean," and its seaside position makes it a popular tourist destination.
