Burger Joint is one of the Best Hotel Restaurants in NYC. For many years, Burger Joint was referred to be the "secret" burger joint inside the Le Parker Meridien hotel (which is now the Thompson Central Park). It continues to draw customers and is frequently included on Eater's list of the best burgers. Two other sites, Industry City in Brooklyn and the Moynihan food court at Penn Station, also serve the burgers, but the Midtown location is still a customer favorite.

The burger shop made its debut in 2002 as a hidden location inside the opulent Thompson Central Park hotel, which has since replaced the previous Le Parker Meridien hotel. It quickly gained international fame. In a hotel lobby, all that is visible behind a floor-to-ceiling Wizard of Oz velvet crimson curtain is a neon burger sign. Due to high demand, they expanded the burger restaurant family and included the Moynihan Food Hall. They welcome regular commuters, tourists, locals, and companies to their location in the gorgeous new Moynihan Food Hall. tenants in the Penn District, as well as, of course, Madison Square Garden guests and theatergoers.
