Laser Wolf

A staple of Israeli culture, the Laser Wolf grill is referred to in Hebrew as a "shipudiya" or "skewer home." Andrew Henshaw, the executive chef, has been working with co-owners Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook in the kitchen for many years. At Zahav, Andrew has spent many years, most recently as Chef de Food, perfecting the tastes and methods of Israeli cuisine. The charcoal grill, a traditional and unadulterated cooking method that amplifies the flavor of its subjects, is at the heart of Laser Wolf's universe. Laser Wolf is named after "Lazar Wolf," the butcher in the well-known Jewish musical Fiddler on the Roof.

There are a couple of things about chef Michael Solomonov's new Laser Wolf that are undeniable: the rooftop view of the Manhattan skyline is one of the nicest in the city and getting a reservation there is one of the hardest things to do. However, the array of meals that are presented to customers after they are seated is likewise astonishing. The free salvation is always a favorite, regardless of the order. The spread features hummus (ask for additional pita), as well as tiny bowls of buttery beans, pickles, and cucumbers with chili spice. Overall, the meal is a feast, and the complimentary dessert puts a smile on everyone's face.
