Chili's Grill & Bar
Chili's Grill & Bar is a restaurant franchise in the United States that specializes on casual eating. Larry Lavine created the firm in Texas in 1975, and it is now owned and run by Brinker International. Chili's original site, a renovated postal station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas' Vickery Meadows neighborhood, opened in 1975. In 1981, the original Chili's on Greenville Avenue relocated to a new facility on the same location, only to relocate again in 2007.
The kids' menu is expanding: the restaurant just added three more sides to the seven selections it previously had: corn, mandarin oranges, and pineapple. Entrees include grilled chicken, spaghetti, and pizza. While numerous restaurant franchises support charities, Chili's stands out, donating more than $8 million last year for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Its next countrywide fund-raiser is on September 29; all proceeds from that day's eating are given to St. Jude's. 1,439 restaurants in 50 states. Call-ahead seating is available at all locations, and reservations are accepted at the majority of them.
