Mimi's Cafe

Mimi's Bistro + Bakery (previously Mimi's Café) is a restaurant franchise in the United States with 48 locations in 12 states. After 36 years in Tustin, California, the company's headquarters were relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2014. It serves French and American cuisine and has a French style and concept.

In December 1978, Arthur J. Simms (who oversaw the commissary at MGM Studios in the 1950s), his son Thomas Simms, Brian Taylor, and Paul Kurz launched the first Mimi's Cafe in Anaheim, California. In July 2004, Bob Evans Farms, Inc. paid USD$182 million for the Mimi's Cafe restaurant business (operated by SWH Corporation). In February 2013, Mimi's Cafe was sold to the US division of Groupe Le Duff, which also operates the La Madeleine restaurants.

This fast-food establishment has precisely what hungry, impatient youngsters need: a complimentary appetizer dish of Cheerios, oranges, and crackers. A turkey dinner, soup and salad, and spaghetti are available for children, along with a variety of sides such as fresh vegetables, fruit, mashed potatoes, and applesauce. Mimi's also provides one of the most diverse beverage selections of any restaurant in the poll, with whole, reduced-fat, and fat-free milk available in both plain and chocolate. And it's a good bet that the people in charge here are parents: All families with small children are provided bibs and hand wipes, and there are changing tables in all toilets. There are 132 restaurants across 22 states.
