David Kordansky Gallery
There's no doubting the impact that contemporary art dealer and gallerist David Kordansky had on Los Angeles' art scene in the 2000s. His 12,000-square-foot Mid-City location has had many incarnations before it became Kordansky's hub for wildly expressive and innovative artists. It began as a martial arts studio, then became a car dealership, before becoming Kordansky's hub for wildly expressive and imaginative artists. The sun-drenched viewing area brings life to the large-scale art pieces that eventually make their way into biennials and art fairs, where collectors eagerly await the latest work by Kordansky.
The gallery also has on-site storage for private viewings and fostering relationships with collectors and personnel. Visit to see paintings by Rashid Johnson, Kathryn Andrews, Jonas Wood, and a slew of other artists who have persisted with him over the years because of his legendary passion for art.
