Kohn Gallery
The Kohn Gallery is a Los Angeles-based contemporary art gallery. Michael Kohn, a former Flash Art Magazine editor and Arts Magazine art reviewer, created the gallery in 1985. In a 12,000-square-foot space, this sleek gallery focuses on pop art, modern masters, and famous collections. For almost two decades, the Kohn Gallery has been based in Los Angeles. The Kohn Gallery in Los Angeles has sponsored a wide range of exhibitions, from historically significant to appealing current exhibits, all of which have provided meaningful contexts for forging linkages to the larger art historical legacy.
Since 2014, the gallery has been in its current location. The structure had previously been utilized as a printing press. Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Clifford Einstein, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, and other celebrities attended the company's 25th-anniversary celebration in 2010. The gallery was named "among the most important exhibitions of modern art on the West Coast" by the Wall Street Journal in 2015.
