Frozen
American computer-animated musical fantasy movie Frozen was released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2013 and was made by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Snow Queen, a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, served as the inspiration for this 53rd animated feature film from Disney. In the movie, a princess travels with an iceman, his reindeer, and a snowman in search of her estranged sister, whose icy powers unintentionally plunged their realm into an endless winter.
Before Jennifer Lee, who co-directed with Chris Buck, was asked to write the screenplay for Frozen in 2011, it underwent a number of narrative treatments. The voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, and Santino Fontana can be heard throughout the movie. The songs for the movie were written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and Christophe Beck was commissioned to write the orchestral score. On November 27, 2013, Frozen was released to theaters nationwide. Some film critics believe Frozen to be Disney's best-animated movie since the studio's Renaissance era; it received plaudits for its graphics, storyline, themes, soundtrack, and voice acting. At the 86th Academy Awards, Frozen won two prizes and got other honors.
