Fury

Fury is a 2014 American war film written and directed by David Ayer. Set in April 1945, Wardaddy, a battle-hardened Army sergeant, leads a Sherman tank and his five-man crew on a deadly mission beyond German lines as the Allies make their last push in the European Theatre. Wardaddy and his troops confront great obstacles in their brave attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany, outnumbered, outgunned, and with a novice soldier thrown into their unit.

The film Fury was a box office hit. Against a budget of $68 million, the film grossed $85.8 million in the United States and Canada and $126 million in other countries for a global total of $211.8 million. The film's opening weekend gross is David Ayer's (now five-film) greatest blockbuster, exceeding the $13.1 million debut of End of Watch and his third-largest opening as a writer after 2001's The Fast and the Furious ($40 million) and 2003's S.W.A.T. ($37 million).
