Munich – The Edge of War

Munich – The Edge of War is a German/British drama film directed by Christian Schwochow and based on a screenplay by Ben Power that was released in 2021. On October 13, 2021, the film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. Netflix gave it a limited theatrical premiere in the United States on January 14, 2022, before releasing it on Netflix on January 21, 2022.


Based on Robert Harris' international best-seller, which was published in 2017. Set in 1938 and Europe is on the verge of war. Adolf Hitler is preparing to attack Czechoslovakia, and Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain is anxious for a diplomatic settlement. Hugh Legat, a British government servant, and Paul von Hartmann, a German diplomat, travel to Munich for the emergency Conference as the pressure mounts. As the negotiations begin, the two old friends find themselves caught in a labyrinth of political deception and imminent peril.
