Grand Ducal Palace

In Luxembourg City, the Grand Ducal Palace (Groussherzogleche Palais) is a must-see sight. Grand Duke Henri, the current ruler of the nation, resides in this stunning Renaissance structure, which was constructed in 1572. It was initially constructed in 1572 as the city's first municipal hall, a function it performed until 1795 until settling into its current usage as the Grand-Ducal Place in 1890.

However, during specially scheduled tours, visitors are permitted to have a glimpse inside this magnificent structure of the Grand Ducal Palace. These trips are typically scheduled to begin in the middle of July and go through the first week of September each year. The location rises to the top of the city's most popular destinations during this time. Tickets are available at the tourist information center.

There are nine distinct tour options offered each day, and they are all conducted in several languages, including English. From their location in Place Guillaume II, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office sells tickets. One of the tour's highlights is the opportunity to view the opulent, finely furnished interior, which includes the ceremonial halls used on important events like visits by foreign dignitaries.
