The Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art, sometimes known as Mudam, is a modern art gallery in the southern Luxembourg city of Luxembourg. The museum is located near several of the European Union institutions with offices in the city, on the site of the former Fort Thüngen, on the western border of the Kirchberg plateau.
MUDAM has received consistently positive reviews for its substantial collection of contemporary art since it opened in 2006. Highlights include pieces by well-known artists including Julian Schnabel, Andy Warhol, and Bruce Nauman, to mention a few.
The museum hosts numerous temporary and visiting exhibits in addition to its impressive collection of great permanent artworks. The general public can also access a wide range of excellent educational workshops and activities, some of which are tailored especially for children. On-site amenities include a fantastic café and a sizable store with connected products and mementos. English-language guided tours are also offered.
