Lake Erie

Of the five Great Lakes in North America, Lake Erie has the fourth-largest surface area and ranks as the eleventh-largest lake in the world. Lake Erie is one of the best lakes to visit in Ohio. It has the shortest average water residency time since it is the most southern, shallowest, and smallest Great Lake in terms of volume. Lake Erie has a maximum depth of 64 meters. The breathtaking sunsets and the storied lighthouses that can be found all along the coastline are some of Lake Erie's outstanding characteristics.

Without a doubt, Lake Erie is the best lake to visit in Ohio. This Great Lakes jewel stretches over 200 miles along Ohio's northern border. Due to a large number of parks, beaches, and communities with access to the water, Lake Erie ranks at the top of the list. It is also quite scenic, with lots of excellent locations for photos.
