Mount Eburru

Suswa, Longonot, Olkaria, Elmenteita, and Menengai are among the volcanoes in the rift that encompasses Eburru. The Akira plains separate it from the Olkaria volcano to the south. The eastern margin of the rift is covered by trachytic tuffs, some of which are ignimbritic, and trachytic lavas. Trachytic and pantelleritic pumice, as well as layers of ashfall, discharged from Eburru, dominate the western edge.
