Mount Ng'iro is a peak in northern Kenya that overlooks the Suguta Valley, which is part of the Great Rift Valley. What is the special thing about this mountain that maybe you have never heard of before? The answer is that this Kenya-based mountain is surrounded by desert, but its upper slopes are forested. Mount Ng'iro is located in the Samburu people's territory. In fact, some subclans of the Lmasula phratry keep bees on the mountain and claim exclusive rights to the land and water as beekeepers.
