New Hope, Pennsylvania

The riverfront town of New Hope, Pennsylvania, located between New York and Philadelphia, is a terrific fall getaway full of outdoor activities, shopping, and excellent places to dine. It's also one of the greatest sites in southeastern Pennsylvania to observe the fall foliage. New Hope is well-known for its lovely Main Street, which is lined with stores, and eateries, and offers views of the Delaware River. Leather artists and jewelry businesses are among the shops, as are interesting gifts, clothing, and souvenirs. Visitors will also discover various wineries and tasting rooms on Main Street and in the surrounding region, which are especially enjoyable to visit in the fall when there are harvest-related special events.

Riding the New Hope Railroad is one of the most interesting things to do in New Hope. The railroad connects Bucks County to Philadelphia and was built in the late 1800s. Throughout October, visitors may ride this lovely, leaf-filled stretch aboard a 1925 steam locomotive that makes special journeys to observe the local colors. New Hope is also a fantastic starting place for a scenic trip down Route 32, which follows the Delaware River on a magnificent journey covered with yellow, crimson, and orange foliage. Visitors seeking pumpkin fields and orchards in New Hope are spoiled with choice, with several farms offering pick-your-own hours and delicacies such as fresh apple cider and apple cider doughnuts.
