Sedona, Arizona
Mild temps, red cliffs, golden foliage, and a chance of snow - if that sounds like your ideal autumn holiday, then Sedona is for you. In this sweltering desert, the months of October and November provide a welcome reduction in temperature, allowing for some of the most ideal trekking and touring conditions of the year. Although Sedona is stunning all year, the fall season is when this red-rock town truly shines! Hike one of Sedona's greatest trails, such as the Bell Rock Trail, Red Rock Crossing Trail, Devil's Bridge, or Cathedral Rock, and then refuel at Heartline Cafe or Etch Kitchen and Bar.
If money isn't an issue, Mii Amo is one of the greatest luxury hotels in Sedona. This all-inclusive spa with mountain views was named Travel & Leisure's Top Destination Spa in 2020 and is likely to steal your breath away. You may get the most bang for your money by staying in the adjacent community of Village of Oak, which is just 10 minutes south of Sedona. There are several paths that begin here as well, and the vistas are just as breathtaking. Everything you need is right here, from grocery stores to restaurants, cafés, and plenty of Airbnb alternatives. If you enjoy wildlife, fall is an excellent season to attempt to locate some of Sedona's natural residents.
