Palic Lake

Simply put, if you decided to go on an adventure in Vojvodina, you should not miss this lake. It is situated 8 kilometers from Subotica, close to Palic, which is currently regarded as one of the most significant tourist destinations in northern Serbia. This lake is the biggest naturally formed lake in Serbia. It appears to have been described for the first time in the 15th century, and many years later, it was discovered that this water had proven medicinal benefits for the treatment of skin problems.

Currently, it appears that Palic Lake is effective in treating rheumatism, anxiety, gynecological imbalances, as well as back pain and bone pain. The lake is well-known for its assortment of modest but luxurious spa baths, where locals and visitors can experience the healing powers of the water while relaxing in wooden bathtubs. A variety of comfortable amenities and entertainment options are offered by numerous summer homes and camps for people of all ages. All guests can enjoy fantastic recreational options including football fields, basketball courts, running tracks, and swimming pools.

There are 17 kilometers of promenades along the lakeshore, as well as ample opportunities for birdwatching and fishing. The lake is surrounded by brand-new hotels, eateries, and smaller villas, and the vibrant nightlife will exceed all of your expectations. Pali Lake plays host to a significant European Film Festival throughout the summer. At the Pali Film Festival in July, numerous filmmakers, actors, and film reviewers congregate. The most recent films shown in a welcoming setting add to the festival's already distinctive character as it is entirely devoted to European cinema.

Children under the age of five will especially enjoy visiting the adjacent zoo, where the animals are not imprisoned but rather allowed to roam freely in fenced-off portions of the park. Even if you choose not to visit the Zoo, the local flora and fauna will leave you in awe.
