Perucac Lake
A manmade lake by the name of Perucac Lake is connected to the Perucac tourist village is one of the most beautiful lakes in Serbia. It was built in 1966 and is located between the cities of Viegrad in Bosnia and Bajina Bata in Serbia in a river bend that naturally rings the Tara mountain.
This is a quaint little town located 13 kilometers away from Bajina Bata on the right bank of the river. The community includes warm and welcoming locals, a number of quaint eateries, cultural and artistic landmarks, as well as a hydroelectric power plant, which is what this lake was built for. Simply put, the lake is amazing. There is a beachfront resort with kid-friendly pools, lots of entertainment options, and a fantastic restaurant within. In addition to swimming, visitors can go boat riding, canoeing, or pedal boating.
The abundance of fish on the lake makes Peruac a fishing haven. On the lake, a yearly huchen fishing competition is held, and some of the competitors brag impressive awards. Additionally abundant in the lake are European chub, catfish, and carp. In addition to Tara National Park, adjacent Mokra Gora and Drvengrad (Wooden Town), an ethnic hometown of renowned Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica, are also worth visiting.
