Promote wound healing
Thymoquinone, a substance found in black seed oil, has been investigated for its capacity to stimulate tissue development and accelerate wound healing. Thymoquinone has been shown in animal studies to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties that may help treat burns, excisions, and diabetic wounds. One animal research, for instance, discovered that black seed extract greatly improved wound healing in diabetic rats when compared to a control group.
Another experiment on animals revealed that using black seed oil alone or in combination with honey improved and sped up the healing of wounds in rats. However, further research is required to determine whether thymoquinone and black seed oil can help speed up wound healing in people.
