Spacca Napoli is a small neighborhood restaurant in Ravenswood that makes authentic Neapolitan-style pizza with love and attention. It is nestled away off the Metra track.


The restaurant, which has been open for more than ten years, is owned and run by true pizza enthusiasts who make their pies in an oven imported directly from Naples, Italy, and constructed by third- and fourth-generation artisanal workers. Since he is a trained pizzaiolo, the restaurant's proprietor, Jon Goldsmith, takes care to only utilize premium ingredients, frequently procuring them from more specialized or smaller suppliers. Along with an impressive selection of appetizers like burrata and polenta cakes, Goldsmith and colleagues also frequently offer specials that are both highly seasonal and incredibly excellent.
