Start-Up (2020)

Starring Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-hyuk, Kim Seon-ho, and Kang Han-na, Start-Up is a South Korean TV show. The story centers on a lady who aspires to be an entrepreneur like Steve Jobs and her love triangle with two men—one of whom is her first love in secret and the other of whom is pretending to be. From October 17 through December 6, 2020, it is broadcast every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 on tvN. Netflix offers streaming access to it.

Start-Up chronicles the tale of individuals involved in the startup business environment and is set in the fictitious Silicon Valley of South Korea dubbed Sandbox. A brilliant and aspirational young woman named Seo Dal-mi (Bae Suzy) aspires to be Korea's, Steve Jobs. Although Dal-mi doesn't come from a posh family, she is enthusiastic about what she does. She is a vibrant individual with a lot of energy who has worked a variety of part-time jobs.

The company Samsan Tech was founded by Nam Do-san (Nam Joo-hyuk). Do-san, who was known as a "math genius" or "genius savant" when he was younger, used to be the pride of his family but has since become their humiliation as a result of the decline in his business over the last two years. He learns that Dal-mi believes erroneously that he was her first love, therefore he makes the decision to advance in the hopes of making that belief come true.
