Uncontrollably Fond (2016)

The crux of this 20-episode romantic melodrama was the romance between Shin Joon Young (Kim Woo Bin) and Noh Eul (Bae Suzy). Due to various circumstances, the two had to end their relationship, only to get back together years later while they pursued separate jobs.

Joon Young rose to fame as a singer-actor, and Noh Eul, a documentary filmmaker, was charged with capturing his story. Joon Young discovered during their reunion that the lady he once loved had undergone a significant transformation into a practical and materialistic individual. Even so, it seemed inevitable that they would continue to warm up to one another. But will this awaken long-buried feelings of suppressed emotion?

In addition to the romance, the narrative also examines regret, discovering your purpose, and personal development, all of which may be issues that many readers may relate to. Audiences may have been moved and devastated by its finale, but it also demonstrated Suzy's acting talent. In the 2016 1st Asia Artist Awards, her performance in this drama garnered her the Best Star Award. She is proving once again to be a fascinating TV presence and marketable female lead.
