While You Were Sleeping (2017)
From the director of Doctors and My Love from the Star, and the writer of Pinocchio and I Can Hear Your Voice, While You Were Sleeping enlists a stellar cast headed by Bae Suzy and Lee Jong Suk. This television show combines a courtroom drama with a fantasy element. It centers on the life of Nam Hong Joo (Bae Suzy), an unemployed lady who has the unusual ability to predict events that will occur in the future through her dreams. She is a real damsel in distress who is geeky, untidy, and non-conformist.
A rookie prosecutor named Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk) moved in next door to her and ended up becoming one of her strongest supporters. They work in a time crunch with police officer Han Woo Tak (Jung Hae In) to figure out how to prevent the fulfillment of Hong Joo's prophecies. The storyline of the novel is engaging and well-written, with just the perfect amount of romance, drama, and imagination. Additionally, it highlighted the obvious chemistry between Suzy and Lee Jong Suk, keeping viewers interested.
