Tanga
Tanga is the name of Tanzania's most northern port city on the west coast of the Indian Ocean, as well as the capital of the Tanga Region. Tanga is a Swahili word that means "sail." Because of its proximity to the equator and the warm Indian Ocean, the city has tropical climatic conditions similar to the rest of Tanzania's coastal cities. The city has a tropical wet and dry climate and experiences hot and humid weather for much of the year.
Tanga, a magnificent town, is an ideal destination for visitors. They can unwind in the peaceful town and connect with the local culture. They can take in the scenery, which includes pristine semi-arid forests, beautiful lagoons, sheltered bays, and lush green mangrove forests. They can also see rats, shrews, blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, bats, bushbabies, owls, sunbirds, weavers, snakes, geckos, chameleons, duikers, and butterflies in the Amani Forest Nature Reserve! Tourists can also visit the magnificent Tongoni Ruins, which date back to the 15th century.
