Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

Thor: Ragnarok is a 2017 American superhero film directed by Marvel Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. The powerful Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is imprisoned on the other side of the world and finds himself in deadly gladiatorial combat against The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his erstwhile buddy and fellow Avenger. Thor's struggle for existence pushes him into a race against time to stop the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and Asgardian civilization.

It earned $854 million, making it the trilogy's highest-grossing picture and the ninth-highest-grossing film of 2017. Thor: Love and Thunder, the sequel, will be released on July 8, 2022.
