The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos was founded in 1953 in Cuernavaca, Mexico, the capital of Morelos. The institution was founded in 1871 by governor Francisco Leyva as the Literary and Scientific Institute of Morelos.
There are three distinct levels of courses available at the institution. Middle superior courses are three-year programs that educate students for careers as laboratory technicians, IT and English technicians, forestry technicians, and other professionals. 65 undergraduate degree courses in the sciences, humanities, and arts are available at the upper superior level.
Agricultural sciences, natural sciences, precise sciences and engineering, social and administrative sciences, health and behavioral sciences, education and humanities are the six primary faculties that provide undergraduate courses. Students can pursue degrees in nutrition, psychology, education, history, law, accounting, chemical engineering, biology, and many other fields via these faculties.
The university also provides master's and doctoral level postgraduate studies. Editorial production, molecular medicine, energy sustainability, and human resources management are among the 55 postgraduate study programmes offered by the six primary institutions. Students can take classes in English, French, German, Japanese, and Portuguese, among other languages.
Students at the university can engage in a variety of activities in addition to their academics, including archery, judo, crossfit, rugby, and tennis, as well as use the gymnasiums, archery range, and various sports facilities. Oil painting, poetry, belly dance, and pottery are just a few of the artistic pursuits available.
Cuernavaca, the capital and largest city of Morelos, is located south of Mexico City. Its historic center is lined with parks and colonial buildings.
