University of New South Wales

The University of New South Wales (UNSW), also known as UNSW Sydney, is an Australian public research university located in Sydney. It is a founding member of the Group of Eight, an alliance of Australian research-intensive universities. UNSW is a research university that was founded in 1949 and is ranked 44th in the world in the 2021 QS World University Rankings and 67th in the world in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It is a member of the global network of research universities known as Universitas 21. It has international exchange and research agreements with over 200 universities worldwide.

UNSW is ranked first in Australia for Law, Accounting, and Finance, and first in the world for Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology. UNSW is also one of the leading Australian universities in Medicine, with its Medical School students having the highest median ATAR (Australian university entrance examination results) of any Australian undergraduate medical school.
