Suriname's Polytechnic College (PTC) is a university of applied sciences that specializes in vocationally oriented technical education. It was created in Paramaribo on February 21, 1997. In the departments of mechanical engineering, agronomy, and information technology, a second branch was founded in Nickerie in 2014. Students get a Bachelor of Applied Technology degree upon completion of the program (B.Tech). Aside from the five bachelor's degree programs, there is one master's degree program that has been accredited by the National Accreditation Body (NOVA).
